    That's not an easy question to answer. If your tinnitus is not related to ototoxic drugs or infection then I would assume at least 200mg would be safe to take. Tylenol is purportedly more ototoxic than ibuprofen.

    @VeryUnfortunate, NSAIDs can be ototoxic at high doses taken for a long period of time. Occasional Ibuprofen is not going to give you tinnitus. Ask an otologist, ENT or audiologist about safe meds to take. They will give you a better sense of what is really truly risky.
