Some of my high-pitched hearing is damaged to the point it bothers my ears. Sounds like chicken frying in the pan, running water from the faucet, shower head sounds, etc. My hearing has been damaged by meds, infection, and acoustic trauma.

Mine is the same. Try not to do what I did and become obsessed about changing your T by clenching your jaw or pushing on your head. I do this all the time to try and get my T to stop and have become a bit OCD about it

Prednisone can cause headache but it's also used to treat elevated intracranial pressure. Like the others said, it will probably fade over time. What was the trauma exactly? Some are worse than others.

...to be treatable by sound therapy, it may go away but no guarantees. It certainly does have to do with hearing damage. Probably genetic hearing loss, unless you had a head trauma. Stress alone will not cause tinnitus and hyperacusis. Did your hyperacusis come back when your tinnitus got worse?
