Jim H, 30 plus years of T is quite a tribute to perseverance. I commend
you for you ability to weather the storm. Some people go through so much
and have such patience. Maybe you can give us some pointers are what
has worked for you.

 

Astronomer, I'm glad you are finding a solace in your star
gazing. We all need a hobby, those of us dealing with ongoing
tinnitus. Keep it real.

sorry, since my tinnitus i dont do astrophotography anymore,it is stressful,but pictures dont do justice to the actual dancing of the lights in the sky anyway, when more intense the aurora borealis comes down from the zenith and displays shades of red, green and pink,it is majestic and observing the lights are best experienced visually, a natural beauty of the heavens ! there are even tours to go see the aurora borealis,thats how spectacular they are,the farther north the more intense,take care

 

@Joe P. Tamborra ..I don't think there's any merit on my part for living with T for so many years. After all, what option did I have? My family depended on me to go to work and be a good provider. So, that's what I did. When you feel that you don't have any option, then you "just do it" because there's no plan "B."

I suggest, if you haven't already, that you develop a strategy that works for you which may involve a combination of several coping methods. Also, try to identify any spike "triggers" such as certain foods or noisy situations such as concerts and avoid them as much as possible. Additionally, it's very important that you get enough sleep.

You already have a good support system with your faith, your family, Church, friends and the information available here on TT.

Thats funny, when a preacher comes on this forum with a huge larger than life avatar of him on the podium, bigger than anybody elses avatar,my instincts were right.... just a matter of time before he starts the preaching ! , thats funny,he says he uses the god, lord , jesus word in everyday language in front of people,most preachers do not !, thats funny, he says to one you are on the right path, ( just to try and nudge the rest of us ), i think most of us are on the right path,i know i am !, is he ?, thats funny, what happened here one asked,well if you use the lord, jesus and god words on the chatbox,especially when you see things are calming down then why would you put those words in capital letters,it would be to make a statement, a statement thats not needed !,in a perfect world you would want those to accept you as a messenger, sorry, human beings are flawed !
