I did have my ears irrigated. As far as I could tell, it had no impact on my tinnitus. It did, however, open up my hearing. My right ear was pretty blocked, so sounds were amplified for about a week before my system adjusted. I was hearing sounds I hadn't realized I wasn't hearing before. I'm walking around wondering what that noise is and it's my arm brushing against my clothes. I don't regret doing it at all. I bought an ear camera so now I can look at my own ears and see if they're blocked.

I'm so glad to have connected with you and several others. Passing along some optimism to you has helped me, too. I used to barrage ChatGPT with questions and by the end, I was in full blown panic. It didn't help me at all. I feel much less alone having others to share experiences, progress and hope with and I hope I help others feel less alone.

I have some issues with my left temporal bone that could be causing my severe left ear tinnitus. I may have to see a temporal bone specialist at John Hopkins in Baltimore.

My anxiety has been at a 10/10 catastrophic level for several days. Everything keeps getting worse. I'm genuinely paralyzed with fear and can't calm down. I'm afraid it's going to lead me to harm myself

My cat have died

Hi I saw an older post you have about itching in your ear. I was at a concert about 6 weeks ago and the day after I would start experiencing this "dull ache" sensation if I listened to music too loud.

Over the past few weeks I notice an itching sensation in place of what use to be the dull aches. Do you still have itching or did that eventually go away ?

I was at an ENT and the hearing came back pretty normal and he thought it might have been TMJ which I know its not the case.

Believe me, I know how you feel. Mine isn't nearly as loud as it was in the beginning, but it still causes me a lot of anxiety. I alternate between "I'll be fine" and "My life is ruined" every other minute. The hardest part is not knowing what the future holds. I'd be fine if I knew for a fact it would resolve and a general timeline. I try to see each night as a new chance for healing and remember that most people do recover, regardless of age or cause, even if it takes awhile. I have recovery stories taped to my doors and walls. Each day is long, but hopefully one day soon this will just be a bad memory. Keep in mind it's still early days. Many, many people don't see the first signs of recovery until after Month 6. There's still time.

In need of a bit of advice : I'm weening off hearing protection at home, my hyperacusis is really settling down, but my tinnitus is getting worse. It gets so loud by just having simple conversations although it does not hurt my ears

I have been getting a loud cricket chirping in both ears for a few days now. Is it due to sertraline? Does anyone have any experience with it? I can't shake the feeling that I'm a particularly bad case.

No idea where this low bass like sound comes from. It comes and goes as it pleases, but I feel like it's becoming more and more frequent

Scrolling thru my own profile posts should provide me enough reassurance that my TTTS will subside again as it has done many times before. But my anxiety will not let me believe that. I can't stop freaking out and am terrified it won't go away this time. Please tell me I'll be okay. I'm so miserable
