Interestingly, my very first diagnosis was also hydrops, and when I asked my ENT doc how she came to that conclusion, she said "by process of elimination: when we can't figure out what it is, we just say it's hydrops". It was obviously the wrong diagnosis too.

Well, these are questions I don't know the absolute answer to, but my immediate thought is that yes, cochlear hydrops would in fact interfere with this drug's effectiveness.

Atypical Meniere's? He may mean Cochlear Hydrops. if its atypical it isn't Meniere's by definition. Meniere's is a criteria-based diagnosis.

Another thing I discovered is you will be surprised what foods cause issues. I found tomatoes cause my cochlear hydrops symptoms to get really bad. Who would ever think tomatoes would do this? This is why you have to really be careful with what you eat and make sure that you are not eating...

Hey, what I meant was my frequencies dropping by 10-15 dB on top of my original audiogram, e.g. going from 10 dB to 20 dB on certain frequencies. AIED and hydrops can have very similar symptomology. I'm not really sure what you want me to say, there was a tonne of cross-over symptom wise so...
