The only thing I can think about is it might have been that I was drinking alcohol ( a few beers) a few nights between the loud impact and when it started, including the night before, so myabe my ear was a bit altered and the alcohol didn't help anything.

Alcohol lowers blood sugar. I would research that. Start monitoring your blood sugar and insulin levels and see if there is a metabolic imbalance and if it correlates with the tinnitus spikes.

I think that alcohol thins the blood , maybe thats why ? IN fact , alcohol and sitting in a jacuzzi for an hour are the only two things that have a positive effect on my T. I should just sit in the hot tub all day with a beer and i am good.

How much do I need, a few beers or strong stuff? Hyperacusis and tinnitus getting worse every day, no matter what I do, it's the tolerance level in the brain.

Drinking alcohol lessens my tinnitus. Very rarely will my tinnitus will lessen on its own, very rarely. However, a few cocktails seem to lessen it considerably... for a short period anyway. I'm not advocating 'converting' to alcoholism, but when all else fails, you go with what works...

I'm all for people's experiences, good or bad, but ranting and screaming things like 'poison' or 'the devil' offers nothing. These same people will then be happy for XEN1011 or any other medication to treat their tinnitus. Some of these people down alcohol and eat processed foods.
