Tattoo Thread!

I have two tattoos and thought it would be fun to have others share their ink

 

Gonna bump this thread because I think it's cool.

Now, I don't have any tattoos, but I plan to get atleast one:

This is from an old edition of We Have Always Lived In The Castle, by Shirley Jackson. One of my Favourite books of all time. People gush about The Lottery and The Haunting Of Hill House, but I think Castle is her magnum opus. I'll update if I ever actually get it.

 

Stormy sea, bleeding eye, rays of light, lots of meaning for me with this... and the top smudgy bit is actually my fave part , was my first tattoo & it's The Seer by Alex Gray... just a reminder to stay creative with music and stay positive. At least that's what I take from it lol

Here is mine (on my left foot). A bit faded because it is about 20 years old now.

I drew the design. It's supposed to be a sunflower and a forget-me-not. I got it after the death of someone profoundly important to me. The forget-me-not was to never forget his love and kindness (not that I could) and the sunflower was to remind me to always try to do what he did, and look at the sun no matter what anyway. I just didn't realize it would be so hard, especially without him.

 

Wow, that's really interesting! I wonder if they got permisson.

Is this one of yours? I love tattoos but don’t have any. Can’t think of anything I would feel comfortable having on me permanently. Maybe my daughter’s birthday, but that’s a bit boring.

Yes, it’s mine! I have a few and that’s definitely one of my most original and largest as it’s my thigh. You should go for it. I got my son’s name and birthday awhile ago and just recently added his zodiac star sign below it.

 

It’s lovely, I’ve always thought that thigh tattoos look nice on girls.

IDK, I might, if I was gonna get it, it would just be simple dd/mm/yyyy on the back of my neck - been toying with this idea for 6 years now lol. One day
