@mermaid my myoclonus sounds different I describe it like a hiccup feeling inside the ear canal it also sounds like a tympani drum or the sound of someone taping on a microphone very hard. The stapedial makes more of a clicking sound and is not as fast or loud.

I admire your tenacity but after all the years this is the worst thing ever. I'm not being dramatic or seeking attention but I don't think I can go on any more :-(

I had to start taking this stuff again since my myoclonus got loud again, and the hyperacusis came back a couple weeks ago. Taking it once a day and it is working to keep things quieter and to keep the hyperacusis away. Some days I go without and it comes back. It def helps me.

I think you mean a muscle of the middle ear. There is no muscle in the inner ear. There's a bunch of hair cells in there though.

I get the muscle spasms in my ear too it's called middle ear myoclonus and I've had it on and off for 5 months. I find that magnesium helps and if you want to stop the vibration try wearing s foam earplug it won't stop it all the way but you won't feel the teitching as much.

The clicking and popping sound you describe @Clerkp is sometimes linked to noise induced tinnitus. I am saying sometimes not definitely. If it is associated with noise trauma it will eventually go away. I know it can be annoying. Continue using low level sound enrichment. Michael
