It's not what I think, it's what has actually happened. Lenire is approved. Auricle/Shore is not. I hope like everyone it gets approved quickly, but they could be doing much more to raise start-up funds.

Neuromod had everything in place already. Operations, marketing, production. Product in the box. Auricle has hardly anything yet. Again, I'd kill for it to be available asap, but people are constantly setting themselves up for disappointment re Auricle.

I think the main differences are: 1) Timing. Timing is the most important in bimodal stimulation. Lenire might just have bad timings or a delay due to Bluetooth. 2) Sounds. Lenire plays keyboard-like sounds with rain-like white noise in the background. What's the point of having any timings...

Hey @BTaylor12. Hubert Lim is Chief Scientist Officer of Neuromod (Lenire) and also Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Otolaryngology at University of Minnesota. So there is a link between both parties.

It's really not known. Lenire uses superficially the same approach and it has made some people worse.

Does anyone have an appointment at one of the US clinics yet? The Lenire website says availability will begin in April.

Yes, some users are saying Lenire makes a difference. I know. Just like there are people claiming tinnitus ear drops or tinnitus skin patches make their tinnitus better.

Also, don’t forget the sampling bias for one audiologist who will happily profit from selling it to you. Many people who are not on Tinnitus Talk will buy it, realize it doesn’t work for them, and put it in a cupboard forever. Sampling bias works both ways.

That's strange they would say that. I spoke to Sven yesterday at the TRI conference in Dublin and he specifically mentioned how his device is different from Lenire. I shot a short video in fact, which we'll publish soon in the TRI thread and on our video channels.

I give Lenire 1 year before they go out of business from exorbinant costs vs. zero results. So far they only have two outlets in Indiana.
