Robin Williams abused cocaine and alcohol for a very long time, and probably other substances, which certainly didn't help his mental or physical health.

The only thing I consume that I can 100% say definitely affects my tinnitus is alcohol. It always spikes my tinnitus. Luckily I've never been a big drinker.

Some people are completely deaf and still have tinnitus, with no way to mask the ringing. That would be even worse.

Provided you drink alcohol in moderation, in most cases it will not affect noise-induced tinnitus which is what you have. In fact, it often has a beneficial effect on the tinnitus when used for medicinal purposes, as it helps to relax the mind and eases stress. Please go to my started threads...
