    ...almost two weeks in Romania, mostly in Bucharest, which is a noisy city. Also, I've got a 18-month daughter, who's not the most quiet member of the family! My ears did not get much rest in between both flights. I tried to "damage control" the best I could with either Aspirin or Ibuprofen.

    My static sound seemed to go away when I took 2 Ibuprofen plus 2 Tylenol. I don’t know if it will work for you. It changed to a much more tolerable high pitched solid noise. Then I put my hearing aids in after it calmed down after an hour or 2. I hope you find relief.

    I would think your chances are very low. Getting tinnitus from taking Ibuprofen is simply conjecture. Most tinnitus is caused by noise damage such as wearing headphones with the volume turned up too loud.

    I take both Ibuprofen and Paracetamol regularly. Neither have had an effect on my tinnitus. Aspirin, however can cause tinnitus - though I believe you only get tinnitus whilst taking it. If you stop, it apparently goes away.
