Some people here have interpreted fleeting T as the body's attempt to recalibrate in an attempt to heal itself. This is consistent with T sufferers getting fleeting T more often than the healthy people. I remember getting fleeting T multiple times each day.

Hey @Mark_Caswell, sorry, I've been focusing on studies so didn't see this. Everything you're describing sounds normal, re: the fleeting tinnitus. You'll get used to it and it tends to decrease over time.

Yup! I hate fleeting T. In fact my T was almost non-existent, then one morning I had the loudest "fleeting" T that came and didn't go.

@SarahMLFlemmer 'Fleeting T' is a sudden temporary tone that can last from a few seconds to a few hours. Your ear usually goes temporarily deaf when these occur. No one truly understands why they happen or the purpose they serve (if any). This has lead many to guess/hypothesise.

I suffered fleeting tinnitus, before tinnitus lol. Most people experience it I think.

Same, feels like I'm deaf before fleeting tinnitus. Interesting thing that my low hum does not go quiet during a fleeting tinnitus attack, that's partly why I think it must have a different cause than the regular tinnitus sounds.

@Rockman I had a fleeting tinnitus that never went away. It did subside but took a good 6/7 months.

Hi thanks for posting this - I am new and this is the worst thing I have ever had to deal with. At present I have quite a new symptom fleeting burning sensations in only one ear. Happens a few times per hour and lasts seconds. Is this familiar to you?

I understand your concern @ErikaS I an familiar to all your symptoms/what you describe. The aural fullness feeling will lessen over time. Well, at least that my experience. Fleeting t can be annoying, but usually nothing to be concerned about. How long are you in with this?

And also an episode of decreased high frequencies in the left ear (which probably was a fleeting T episode but I don't know) for 10 minutes. My T is thankfully mild, except for a few days per month, that it goes to moderate and I have a general instability/off balance feeling nearly all the...

...how you feel. I'm so over this shit already. I'm also dealing with sinuses right now.. like come on god give me a damn break already. Like couldn't I have gotten fleeting Tinnitus for a few years before this shit. All these tones like we just left a loud rock concert. Fuckin baffled at this point

I still have fleeting T quite a bit, but not as much as I was having it. A month or so ago, I was having fleeting T regularly through each day. I probably only have it twice/three times a day now.
