I don't know if a cheap pair of OTC hearing aids will work as well. Go to a hearing aid center and try them all. I would try the expensive ones first. If they don't help, the cheaper one's won't for sure.

That not correct. He said it helps 30% of the patients. I have friends who tried hearing aids for tinnitus and they didn't help them much. There might be some tinnitus patients who benefit from hearing aids, but seems to be rare.

Hearing aids help with amplification of noise around you, so the T is not as noticeable. Masking sounds make it worse for me.
