@Drone Draper I think normally people mean fleeting tinnitus that lasts seconds. Before I got constant tinnitus, I would sometimes get fleeting tinnitus that lasted about 30 seconds, starting loud then fading out. I never had constant tinnitus.

good question, i'd say it happened maybe two times, which is in line with how often i had it since i got tinnitus. probably even less often. i noticed though that the fleeting t frequency and pitch were much lower than before (it did not 'jar' me, as most high pitched fleeting t used to).

How are you doing these days? Mine is definitely neck tension related. Even the fleeting tinnitus is related to that.

In case anyone finds this thread later, +1 data point: I just had an episode of low hum fleeting T, for the first time ever (my fleeting T has always been high tones). It resolved without issue, but it did scare the bejeezus out of me.

Another issue I have is when I'm about to pass out, I get random sounds. Even with sound enrichment. It makes it very hard for me to pass out cause I'm terrified. Is this normal? I've had tinnitus for almost 5 months. Wish I was stronger.

@Hariz Nonis It is for sure just fleeting T. If you have T (especially in the beginning), you are concentrating on your ears and hear fleeting T much more. I had this in the beginning much more. If I think about it, these days, it becomes less. Cannot remember when I heard this the last time...
