Noise induced pain is going to cripple you if you do not cease from dangerous noise activities. This isn't a joke, a damaged cochlea can leave you with permanent burning ear pain from sound.

How do you define mild hyperacusis? it still means mild burning pain and facial aches around high pitch noises like a bird chirping, but lemme guess the mild burning pain isn't suppose to bother because of habituation?

I still get the burning almost daily but it fluctuates rather than being there all day long. I thought I was doing better overall but my facial pain got significantly worse, loudness hyperacusis came back with a vengeance and my tinnitus is also at an all time high so I guess it was a trade off.
