I didn't know my hearing was as bad as it was until I tried the hearing aids. If you do try them, make sure you try the pair and not just one hearing aid for one ear.

In my case, although hearing aids didn't lower my tinnitus, they made my hearing better. But after I achieved "catastrophic" level tinnitus, I had to stop using them as they aggravated my tinnitus.

I use the Phonak Audeo P50 hearing aids. Receiver in the Canal.

I started using hearing aids 2 years ago and they have dramatically reduced the ringing in my ear. I believe that they only help if you have a substantial hearing loss. You will know within 10 minutes of trying them on if they will help you.
