...good, with everything above 20 dB, but I cannot stop myself from thinking that in 10 years I might be deaf. I hope that does not happen. I could live with poor hearing and even a hearing aid, but the tinnitus, no, that is something I cannot handle. At least the fleeting tinnitus has stopped.

Loud Tone for a Few Seconds — Fleeting / Transient Spontaneous Tinnitus

I can’t really give any help sadly, but I’m in the same boat! I get many fleeting episodes, and sometimes they are not so fleeting and stick around for hours on end, and as well as having the muffled hearing/louder tinnitus from it, it also gets reactive and distorted often too and it’s quite...

Very rarely I will have a quick 5-6 second episode of fleeting tinnitus as the ball is struck. I've played 19 rounds this year and it's probably happened 3 times. The game for the most part relaxes me. Would not say golf has caused any spikes.

Is a Sudden Increase in Transient Ear Noise Cause for Concern?

...it's so odd that it would point to damage, so I'd like to think "healing." On the other hand, I just can't see an evolutionary advantage of fleeting tinnitus. The more you recover, the more your ears/brain can tolerate. The fact that your fleeting tinnitus is clearing up tones is a great sign - I think your brain is figuring this out well. Take things slowly though, it must be so tempting to expose more.
